Banana boat ride at Sharm El Maya: what the day looks like

Up to six of you sit astride the banana, a speedboat pulls it across the bay, and the aim is to stay on. It's fast and splashy, and it's made for groups and families.

Everyone wears a life jacket, and the life jackets are included. Riders from age 4 can join.

The ride itself is about ten minutes. Rides go out from Sharm El Maya at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00, every day, and the slot is 1 hour.

There's one ticket, Per person, at $26.22, for one ride. Each rider needs a ticket.

Two other bananas on daynight, both in Naama Bay. The banana boat ride gives you the banana and then the ringo on one ticket, at $29. The banana boat ride at Jaz Fayrouz is priced by the ride, with extra riders added on.

Smaller and bumpier? The bumper tube ride at Sharm El Maya holds up to three on an inflatable tube, from the same bay and at the same times. And for something with no one else on the line, water-skiing or wakeboarding puts you behind the boat on your own.
