1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They let the site remember you across pages and visits. Modern equivalents — local storage, session storage, mobile-app keychain entries — work the same way and are covered by this notice.
2. What we use them for
- Strictly necessary — to keep you logged in, hold your booking through checkout, prevent fraud.
- Preference — remember your language and dark/light mode.
- Anonymous analytics — count page visits and crash rates to improve the product.
We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not allow third parties to do so on our domain.
3. Cookies we set
dn_session— keeps you signed in. Strictly necessary. Session-only.dn_lang— your chosen language. Preference. 1 year.dn_consent— records your choice on this banner. Strictly necessary. 1 year.
4. Third-party cookies
- Tap Payments sets cookies on its checkout iframe to authenticate the card transaction. These are governed by Tap's own privacy notice.
- Apple / Google may set cookies if you sign in with their identity providers — only on the sign-in screen, only at your initiation.
5. How to control them
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Doing so will sign you out of daynight and may break checkout — strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled while still using the service.
On daynighteg.com you can also use the “Cookies” preference link in the footer to revisit your choices.
6. Mobile app trackers
Our iOS app shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt on first launch. We do not track you across other apps and websites — we always ask you to deny permission unless you specifically want to opt in.
