This page covers daynighteg.com. We keep cookies to a minimum: this is a brochure site, not a shop, so there is very little to remember about you.

1. What cookies are

Small text files a website stores in your browser, used to remember something between visits — a language preference, for instance, or an anonymous counter of how many people read a page.

2. What we use

Strictly necessary

Used to keep the site secure and working: load balancing, rate limiting, and protection against abusive traffic. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site, and they cannot identify you personally. They expire when you close your browser or shortly after.

Preference

If you choose a language, we store that choice so you don’t have to make it again. Set only when you actively pick one, and kept for up to 12 months.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to count page views and see which sections people read. Where used, IP addresses are truncated and no cross-site profile is built. Kept for up to 14 months in aggregated form.

3. What we don’t use

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No third-party marketing trackers or social pixels.
  • No selling or sharing of browsing data with advertisers.
  • No cross-site tracking of any kind.

4. The mobile app

The DayNight app does not use browser cookies. It stores your session and preferences locally on your device, and uses a device identifier for crash reporting and push notifications. What that involves is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — every major browser has a privacy or cookie section. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working. Because we set no advertising cookies, there is nothing here to opt out of for marketing purposes.

6. Changes

If we add a cookie category we will update this page and change the date above before it takes effect.
