Go-karting at Ghibli Raceway: what the day looks like
An outdoor circuit, a kart, and your lap times on a screen. Every session at Ghibli Raceway is timed, with live screens.
There are two grades of kart. The 6.5 HP karts are for anyone. The 9 HP karts are for people who have done this before and want to actually race. You pick the engine and the number of laps when you book. The 6.5 HP is $36 for 15 laps or $44 for 20. The 9 HP is $56 for 15 laps or $67 for 20.
Not sure? Start on the 6.5 HP. Take 20 laps if you want time to find your line after the first few corners.
Kart hire and fuel are included, and so are a helmet and a balaclava. Hotel pickup is included too: drop a pin for your hotel when you book. Sessions start at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00 and 18:00, every day, and the booking covers about 2 hours.
Karting or paintball? Both take about 2 hours, with hotel pickup. Karting is you against the clock; paintball is a team game in an arena. The quad and buggy safari is the one that heads out into the desert.
