Quad & buggy desert safari: what the day looks like

About 2 hours in all, with the open desert in the middle. Hotel pickup is included: pin your hotel when you book the safari. Departures are at 14:00 and 16:00, every day, and the 16:00 one is the operator's sunset run.

Quad biking here means an ATV and the open desert. You ride out behind the mountains, with a guide at the front and one at the back. The stop is a Bedouin settlement: Bedouin tea, then a short camel ride. A helmet, goggles and a Bedouin head scarf come with the vehicle.

There are three tickets. Quad, single rider ($27): one person, one quad. Quad, double ($22 each): two of you share one quad. Buggy upgrade ($44): swap the quad for a Polaris buggy.

How is it different from the other engines on daynight? Go-karting at Ghibli Raceway is laps on a timed outdoor circuit, and paintball is a team game in an arena. Both take about 2 hours with hotel pickup. The safari is the one that goes out into the desert, with the tea and the camel at the end.

In the app it's called "Safari Trip".
