Inside Ras Mohammed National Park there are two snorkel stops, with a marine guide. Then the boat moves on to White Island, where you swim off the sandbar in waist-deep turquoise water. A buffet lunch and soft drinks are served on board in between, and the deck is shaded.

Which ticket? Snorkelling ($32) is the boat day with both snorkel stops and lunch. Snorkelling + intro dive ($41) adds a first dive with an instructor, and you don't need a licence. Certified diver — two dives ($75) gives certified divers the boat day with two guided dives.

Not in the price: the Ras Mohammed park fee, paid in cash, snorkel gear and wetsuits. The operator lists what each costs, so bring your own mask and snorkel if you have them.
