Payments & Security

What we accept, what you’re charged, and why your card details never touch our servers.

Last updated · July 2026

Every DayNight payment is processed by Paymob, a licensed payment service provider regulated in Egypt and certified to PCI-DSS. We never see, store or handle your card number.

1. What we accept

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Meeza
  • Apple Pay

Both Egyptian and internationally-issued cards are accepted. Debit and credit cards are both supported.

2. Currency

Prices are shown and charged in Egyptian Pounds (EGP). The price shown on the activity is the total you pay — we do not add booking fees, service charges or card surcharges at the end.

If your card was issued outside Egypt, your own bank converts the EGP amount into your home currency at its own rate, and may add a foreign-transaction fee. That conversion and any fee are set by your bank, not by us, and appear on your statement rather than on your DayNight receipt.

3. What appears on your statement

Your bank statement will show DAYNIGHT. The legal entity behind that name is Folman Application Co — the same company named in our Terms of Service. If you see a DayNight charge you don’t recognise, contact us before raising a dispute and we will find it for you.

4. 3-D Secure

Every transaction is protected by 3-D Secure — the step where your bank asks you to confirm the payment with a one-time code or in your banking app. It is not optional, and it is the single most effective protection against someone else using your card. If the check fails, the payment is declined and no money moves.

5. Where your card data goes

When you pay, you are handed to Paymob’s secure payment page. Your card number, expiry and security code are entered there and are never transmitted to or stored on DayNight systems. Paymob is certified to PCI-DSS, the card industry’s security standard.

All we receive back is the result: approved or declined, the card brand, and the last four digits — enough to show you which card you used and to process a refund to it.

6. Saved cards

If you choose to save a card for next time, it is stored by Paymob as a token — a meaningless reference that only works for DayNight payments and cannot be used anywhere else. You can remove a saved card in the app at any time.

7. When you are charged

Once, at the moment you book. We do not pre-authorise and charge later, and we do not hold a deposit against your card. DayNight has no subscriptions and no recurring billing — every payment is a one-off for a specific booking that you actively confirmed.

8. Failed payments

If a payment fails, no booking is created and no money leaves your account. Occasionally a bank places a temporary authorisation hold on a failed attempt; that hold is released automatically, usually within a few days. Common causes are a mistyped code, an expired card, insufficient funds, or your bank blocking an unexpected foreign transaction — a quick call to your bank usually clears the last one.

9. Refunds

Refunds always go back to the original card in EGP. Timings and eligibility are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

10. Fraud and disputes

We monitor for fraudulent bookings and may decline or reverse a transaction that fails our checks. If you believe your card has been used on DayNight without your permission, contact us immediately at support@daynighteg.com or +20 127 877 0000, and tell your bank as well.
