Accessibility
What we support today, what we’re still fixing, and how to tell us when we get it wrong.
Last updated · July 2026
We want DayNight to be usable by everyone, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard, larger text or reduced motion. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the app and this website.
What we support today
- Screen readers — VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android are supported throughout the app. Every image on this website has a real text description, not a filename.
- Keyboard navigation — every interactive element on this website can be reached and operated by keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
- Larger text — the app respects your device’s text-size setting, and this site uses relative units so browser zoom works properly.
- Reduced motion — if you have “reduce motion” enabled, our animations, scrolling photo strips and transitions stop.
- Colour contrast — text is checked against AA contrast ratios on both our light and dark surfaces.
- Five languages — English, Arabic, Spanish, Italian and Russian, with full right-to-left layout in Arabic.
What we’re still working on
We would rather tell you than let you find out:
- Some operator-supplied photographs still have short descriptions where a longer one would be more useful.
- The interactive map screen in the app is harder to use with a screen reader than the list view. A list alternative is always available alongside it.
- A small number of older screens have not yet been through a full audit.
Accessibility of the activities themselves
This page is about our software. The activities are run by independent operators in real boats, vehicles and desert camps, and their accessibility varies a great deal. Some experiences involve steps, uneven ground, transfers into small boats, or no shaded seating.
If you have specific access requirements — wheelchair use, limited mobility, sensory needs, or anything else — contact us before you book. We will check directly with the operator and tell you honestly whether it will work, rather than let you find out at the jetty. Reach us at support@daynighteg.com or +20 127 877 0000.
Tell us when we get it wrong
If something on DayNight is hard or impossible for you to use, we want to know — it is the fastest way for us to fix it. Email support@daynighteg.com with the screen or page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using. We aim to reply within 2 business days with a fix or a timeline.
If you need information from this site in another format, ask and we will provide it.
